Study Suggests That Women Who Manage The Household Has Less Interest In Career Goals

Close to one thousand male and female participants were surveyed in three separate experiments to find out how managing a household would affect a person's career goals in the office.

The University of California, Berkeley study suggests that women who are responsible for the household has less desire and interest to go up the corporate ladder.

Running the household entails responsibilities such as child care, food management, budgeting, and taking care of the actual house. Managing the household has been primarily identified as a woman's responsibility. But changing times have seen women go out of the house and into the office.

Numerous studies have shown that women stand out in workplaces under certain circumstances such as collaboration, understanding environmental issues, and even financial management (see video); much similar to household management.
